‘J. Walter Thompson’ is one of the world’s best-known marketing communication agencies, it has worked with the most important brands around the globe and has offices in many places including Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. This time is the Brazilian office that is in the spotlight for the design of “The Bible of Barbecue” for Tramontina, the leading brand of kitchen supplies in Brazil.
“The Bible of Barbecue” is a limited edition book that aims to capture the attention and loyalty of the restaurant owners in Brasil and to show the commitment and vision of the brand into this meal event. This book is a guide to creating the perfect barbecue through a series of steps. However this book is not like the others, each page is carefully crafted with a different material to help the cook during the process; this means that with a page you can sharpen a knife, with another you can salt the meat and with another one you can light the charcoal.
I mean, What can I say? I am completely surprised and amazed with this book, I had seen interactive books before, but this one beats them all. The idea is wonderful and the execution is even better, each material is perfectly designed and used, something that I guess wasn’t easy at all, working with coal and salt isn’t something that designers normally do. And if the use of materials wasn’t difficult enough, they decided to create detailed illustrations and beautiful handletterings for each section… Oh! And a perfect recorded and edited video. I’m speechless with this work, and I think you will also be after watching the video.
But well.. at least this is my f opinion.
